LG Electronics, the well-known innovator in laundry industry has launched ThinQ front-load washing machine in India. Powered by an Artificial Intelligent Direct Drive (AI DD) motor, this new 7kg, washing machine identifies fabric types in each load of laundry, detects the weight, and selects the optimal wash cycle accordingly.
This actually decides washing patterns and motions for the load. There are 6 different motions Scrubbing, Rolling, Stepping, Swing, Tumbling, and Filtration that rotate the wash drum in multiple directions. LG also utilizes a big data of washing experiences to optimize the washing cycles. This AI-powered clothes washing can help save time, money and the clothes and the machine itself, as explained at Forbes.
LG ThinQ front-load washing machine also comes with Wi-Fi support which allows users to control it remotely from anywhere using the mobile app (Wi-Fi router needed). Other interesting features include LG’s Steam technology that combats allergens, TurboWash technology that cleans clothes in less time owing to built-in JetSpray sprays and Smart Diagnosis that helps users troubleshoot appliance issues.

LG’s ThinQ front-load washing machine is some of the newest entry in the Indian segment of washing machines. Supposedly, it may not attract people with AI integration but it will surely gain attention with its Wi-Fi feature that allows remote control of the appliance.
