Google Nest Hub: Price, Features and Availability in India

The internet giant Google has updated its line of smart speaker available in India with the newest Google Nest Hub last month. It is a smart speaker with display that can sync and display latest shots from Google Photos. Plus, the built-in Google Assistant with Voice Match can make life convenient.

Made by Google’s first display device, the Google Nest Hub can play YouTube videos, get visual answers of questions, show personalized schedule and maps, and control compatible smart devices. Everything is shown on the dashboard for easy and fast access.

Features of Google Nest Hub

Design

Measuring 7.02W x 4.65H x 2.65D inches, it weighs less than 500 grams. Its soft rounded corners and screen at an angle makes it blend into modern home settings. Whether you place it at kitchen counter or nightstand in bedroom, it will be a decorative as well as functional item. There are different colors to choose according to match your personal style.

Display

It has a 7-inch touch screen display with Ambient EQ that helps it automatically adjust its lighting and colors according to different spaces. In night, the screen is dimmed automatically to minimize impact on sleep.

With Google Nest Hub, you can watch videos on YouTube and play songs from Spotify, YouTube Music, Gaana, Pandora, JioSaavn, etc. When not in use, you can use it as a digital photo frame, which can display your best shots from your Google Photos or some wallpapers of your choice. Give voice commands to show your particular photos.

Personalized routines

You can set up personalized routines for your day on the Google Nest Hub. In morning, it can tell you about your commute to work, reminders, weather forecast, and other activities you have added on Google Calendar. In the same way, it can set an alarm, turn off compatible lights and TVs and play soothing music to help you sleep in night.

There is also a Voice Match feature that can recognize multiple voices, which means it is going to show routines according to different persons of a family.

Privacy

This smart display is designed to be used in every part of a house and that’s why camera is not included on Google Nest Hub. Although, you will be deprived from making video calls, there will be no chance that you are being watched.

You can, however, make audio calls using the Nest Hub. Talking privacy, you can mute the mic using a dedicated switch at the back.
